Delivering a coherent corporate strategy

Following the go ahead for the creation of a new organisation (merging four existing companies), I was invited to take an Interim Director of Strategy role, reporting to the CEO, responsible also for IT Architecture, Data and Innovation and leading a team of 30 staff.

The role required the speedy delivery of a coherent corporate strategy and suite of KPIs prior to the physical merging of the companies to a very tight deadline. This involved providing focus to EXCO, the Board, staff and external stakeholders, utilising current thinking, identifying strategic gaps and co-creating the strategy and cross-company KPIs. The Strategy was delivered on time and approved first time by the Regulators.
