Who I work with
I work with a wide range of organisations – private, public, arts and charities – to redesign the way they operate and how they structure themselves. This can be from working on a high level target operating model (TOM), through to detailed design. Some are start-ups. Others range from small to medium to large companies.
Typical challenge
The challenges for these organisations can come in many forms. They may be experiencing rapid growth and the operation is no longer working effectively. They may be undertaking the acquisition of companies and reaching the realisation that there must be a more effective way of organising. The organisational structure may no longer be fit for purpose. They may be about to implement a new strategy and the organisation is not aligned to fully support this.
What do you get
I facilitate the Executive team to co-create a realigned operating model and organisational structure. The process is very empowering for the members of the team. They are enabled to co-create a design which is grounded in their strategy, their organisation and their industry. If I am undertaking an Accelerated Design Approach with the Executive team, I can keep my involvement to the minimum, ranging from 6-12 days, with workshop outputs turned around quickly. This can be a more cost effective approach where the organisation uses their own change teams for implementation.
Result
The team is energised and motivated through co-creating a new / revised operating model which will fully support the delivery of their strategy.
